Basic Functions & Responsibilities
This position provides administrative assistance to the Payroll and Benefit Specialists.
Essential Job Functions/Secondary Job Functions
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Setup payroll deductions, employee direct deposits, and wage assignments. Maintain and update general ledger combination codes for each contract and casual employee.
Perform employment verification for credit bureau/banking institutions, and housing verification for insurance related purposes.
Process weekly unemployment claims.
Working knowledge of eAFTA system.
Process Property and Casualty Certificate of Insurance requests.
Process Motor Vehicle authorization requests.
SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS
Enroll WRS eligible employees in all necessary systems and communicate to payroll.
Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications, Training and Experience
Associate Degree in Accounting or related area, AND
Two years of recent, related work experience, AND
Advanced Excel and Basic Word skills are required. OR
An equivalent combination of related education, training and experience.
Experience working with PeopleSoft Payroll Related Modules is preferred.
