  • Basic Functions & Responsibilities

    Fox Valley Technical College is establishing a pool of qualified candidates to provide individual employment advising and employment related presentations to students, graduates, and the general public.

    Essential Job Functions/Secondary Job Functions

    1. Provide individual employment advising for our students, graduates, and the general public via appointments, job fairs and resume review days.
    2. Present employment related topics: resume, cover letter, interviewing, LinkedIn and networking as requested.
    3. Assist with the jobseeker program(s).
    4. Promote the services and events of Employment Connections.

    Qualifications, Training and Experience

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in related field is required, Master’s Degree preferred, and
    2. A minimum of two years of related work experience in employment/career services or human resources, or
    3. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience from which comparable knowledge may be acquired.

    4. Teaching or training experience is desirable.
    5. Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel within the FVTC district and region is required.
    6. Preferred bilingual skills.
    7. Preferred experience with veterans’ programs and services.
    8. Flexibility in work schedule is required.

    Adjunct instructors are hired on a per course basis. The total hours for an adjunct instructor range from approximately 3 hours per week to no more than 8 hours per week. Hours vary and can include both day and evening classes. Courses are taught in both a general lab setting and a classroom setting.
