Labor Grade/Zone: A2 - $11.40 per hour

Basic Functions & Responsibilities

This position performs various support functions necessary to maintain Food Service Operations and Culinary Arts & Hospitality Program. These support functions include but are not limited to cafeteria service, hospitality / catering, food prep, general cleaning of the kitchen and equipment, cashiering, dishwashing and utility functions.

Essential Job Functions/Secondary Job Functions

 

  1. Assist in serving, delivery, preparing, or replenishing food in the Food Service Operations and Culinary Arts & Hospitality Program.
  2. Clean the kitchen, equipment, tools and dining areas to standards set by local health and sanitation codes.
  3. Perform standard ware washing functions including the stowage of clean dishes, tools & equipment.
  4. Prepare food and beverages for cafeteria, hospitality / catering and sub bar.
  5. Deliver goods and services as needed to remote campus locations.
  6. Perform cashier functions.
  7. Stow received goods as directed.
  8. Maintain cafeteria tables and chairs as needed.
  9. Assist in replenishing vending machines and merchandisers.

Qualifications, Training and Experience

 

  1. High School diploma or equivalent, AND
  2. One year of related work experience with strong emphasis on housekeeping activities including recordkeeping and cashiering, OR
  3. An equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience.
  4. Operation Training Certification.
  5. Valid driver’s license and FVTC Van Training certified.
