Basic Functions & Responsibilities

This is a Continuous Sourcing casual employment position.  Fox Valley Technical College is establishing a pool of qualified candidates to provide assistance to the instructional aides and faculty in support of theTruck Driving program, Decision Driving and Partnership programs.

Essential Job Functions/Secondary Job Functions

 

  1. Assist students in the Truck Driving, WDDC and Partnership Programs.
  2. Administer student road evaluations.
  3. Assist with pre/post trip inspections, shifting, coupling/uncoupling trailers, driving the semi, and other hands-on activities involving the vehicle.
  4. Assist in determining the student’s ability to safely operate commercial motor vehicles on the driving ranges and on public roadways, monitor their progress, and provide feedback to the students.
  5. Provide guidance in emergency driving and skid control techniques as required by the Decision Driving workshop curriculum.

Qualifications, Training and Experience

  1. Technical Diploma or Associate Degree in Transportation, AND          
  2. Three years of related experience, OR          
  3. An equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience.
  4. Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
